Find Your Own Sparkles

Excerpt some things
Life has its dark spots, its heavy periods. Things out of your control, scary waves, the giant universe... sometimes they make you dark, too. The small shines you have are not even seen anymore.
We have to change this dark. But here is the thing, it's like painting. If you lay down a dark color, sometimes it is impossible to blend it out with bright ones. You can't clean it, either. So how do you turn this into a night sky rather than a dark sea?
In the sky, the stars hold their ground. In a wavy sea, you need the sun to come up. So, I think the question isn't how to remove the dark. It's how to find a better dark. How to add stars that won't get wiped out. How to find your tiny sparkles.
The trick is to wait until the dark settles. Let it dry. Put it aside in the background. Accept it. Because once the black is set, the light colors don't blend, they contrast beautifully. They shine bolder on that dark canvas than they ever would on a white one.
I guess the point is, first, see the dark. Understand the root of why your small lights are vanishing. Accept it, let it rest—it is your past, it's your surroundings, it's yours anyway, you cannot change it. But once you try, sometimes super hard and move tiny steps forward, when you add your colors again, they won't be swallowed. In contrast, they will be sharper, more radiant, precisely because of the darkness that surrounds them.
That is the trick. You have to find your own way to do so...
